Celebrating Community at the 127th Annual Amesbury Days

Aluxety Sponsors 127th Annual Amesbury Days

Celebrating a Tradition of Community

For more than 127 years, Amesbury Days has brought neighbors, local businesses, nonprofits, and visitors together to celebrate everything that makes Amesbury a remarkable place to call home. This year’s ten-day celebration once again proved that the event is about far more than a calendar full of activities—it’s about creating opportunities for people to connect, support one another, and strengthen the community we all share.

As a proud sponsor of Amesbury Days, Aluxety was honored to support several events throughout the celebration, including serving as the title sponsor of the City Wide Yard Sale, and co-sponsor for the ice cream table with Liz Ryan and Guaranteed Rate at the Block Party.

As Sheila Beach, Executive Director of the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce, explains, that’s exactly what Amesbury Days is all about:

“Amesbury Days is all about celebrating the spirit of our community. Having passionate local businesses support these traditions is what keeps Amesbury thriving.”

Supporting Local Businesses, Strengthening Our Community

That community spirit was on full display throughout the week. As the title sponsor of the City Wide Yard Sale & Sidewalk Sales, Aluxety was proud to help support one of the celebration’s most anticipated events. More than 75 locations participated this year, drawing shoppers throughout the city and creating one of the busiest shopping days of the summer. Several downtown businesses even reported their highest sales day on record. A reminder that events like Amesbury Days don’t just bring people together; they also strengthen the local economy.

Rain or Shine, Community Comes First

Community is often revealed in the unexpected moments as highlighted by Caroline Watson, Board Member of the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce and Finance Director of StreetDelivery.

“We had another incredible slate of events this year, with the support of the community and our amazing local businesses. One of the most memorable highlights for me personally was Brewfest. My heart absolutely sank when I saw those clouds roll in and the sky open up, but nobody let it ruin their good time! We all grabbed a poncho and made the best of it by singing and dancing in the rain. It really made me appreciate how wonderful and close-knit our community is– which is what Amesbury Days is all about!”

It’s a simple story, but one that captures exactly what Amesbury Days has represented for more than a century. The event isn’t just about a schedule of activities, it’s about neighbors showing up for one another, rain or shine.

Supporting Amesbury Days reflects what we believe at Aluxety: strong communities are built through partnerships. When local businesses, nonprofits, volunteers, and residents invest in one another, everyone benefits from the businesses welcoming new customers to the families creating lasting memories together.

We’re grateful to the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce, the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and local businesses who make Amesbury Days possible each year. We’re proud to play a small part in helping strengthen the communities we serve, both during Amesbury Days and throughout the year.
